Well, yes in fact, with yet another study which should stop the endless journalists v. bloggers stoush. Research by TNS, marketing research specialists, shows people around the world trust the information they get from online news—roughly to the same degree as news from television and information from friends. It also showed private (those not written established mastheads) blogs were the least trusted source in almost every country.

In Australia, only 7% of those surveyed ranked private blogs as ‘highly trusted’, while 36% ranked online news as ‘highly trusted’. Interestingly Australia differed slightly from other countries surveyed, with both TV news and newspapers not ranking as highly as online news, with 33% and 31% respectively.
